Ueno Park in Tokyo , Japan . A large public park , is home to many museums , nature reserves , zoos , and the most popular place to watch the cherry blossoms in spring .
The Tokyo National Museum was founded in 1872 , is the oldest and by far the largest collection of more than 110,000 objects mainly focusing on Japan . The museum itself consists of 5 main building exhibits : Gallery Honkan ( Japan ) ; Toyokan ( Asian Gallery ) ; Hyokeikan ; Heiseikan ; and Homotsukan Horyu – ji ( The Treasures Gallery Horyu – ji ) . Admission for adults is 600 yen ; High school kids from school / junior high / elementary free . The hours are 9:30 to 17:00 .
National Science Museum of Japan opened in 1871 . A permanent exhibition is divided into a global Japanese Gallery and Gallery . Highlights include Japanese Gallery : Nature of Japan and the Japanese archipelago , and Nature .
